Is my engine ceased??

Hi, if your engine overheated and you have lost coolant, you probably have a stickey thermostate, this would not cease your engine the worse it can do is blow the head gasket, could have a locking switch preventing it from turning over again and may have caused the starter motor to lock preventing head gasket problems need to turn rngine by using a ring spanner fitted to the bottom pully and turn engine manually to see if any movement there, if so this may release the locking system and then should be able to restart.
