Taking metformin for almost 1month...am i pregnant?

hi guys, im ttc for 8 mos now, it found out in my trans V result that i have only 3 to 4 follicles with 6mm, my OB said to take metformin for 6 months 3X a day, and im almost 1month taking it. My period is due last dec30, but it is only brown discharge upto now jan3. Were very desperate to have a baby. am i pregnant or is just our desperate feelings to have a baby.
