Hey Golfers! why you tee up the ball toward your left foot rather than middle when hitting a driver?
The same reason a baseball player wants to hit the ball in front of the plate, because your hips will get through and your power from your body will get you more distance. If you hit the ball back in your stance you are hitting with your arms only no body. Look at Tiger when he hits, you see how much torque his body puts into the shot and how he finishes in a high C shape. That is the same with all the pros look at their swings in slow motion, you will see how the power is delivered to the ball at that exact position. I hope this helped.
