Y do people blame GOD for controlloing our lives,when we know very well we are so in control of our choices?

we make.although god has put out death for us at a certain time,but are we not in control of how do get to our destiny?we can commit siucide or go believing and doing righteousness,we can steal if we wanted to but we don't because that is a choice we make am i wrong?
