Why do them jesus worshippers byp the old testament? does the new suit them better or somethin?

According to the Catholic Church, either you are a Jew and you will be saved if you are Torah-observant (salvation by the Old Covenant) OR you are a Christian and you will be saved by your good works motivated by your faith in Jesus Christ (salvation by the New Covenant).
